We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for Latinos, while also celebrating and sharing our cultural heritage. Through events, activities, and resources, we aim to build a strong and connected community.

1. Community Integration and Empowerment Initiatives
These initiatives improve social cohesion and cultural understanding, addressing the critical lack of spaces for socializing and support that negatively impacts society. We focus on empowering both elderly individuals and young people, particularly those from Spanish-speaking backgrounds, helping them reach their potential through culturally relevant gatherings and educational programs.
As part of this effort, we are promoting a new initiative to support young people who want to enter university. This program offers guidance, information, and motivation, helping them navigate entry requirements, recognize their international qualifications, and build a brighter future through education.
🇪🇸 Iniciativas de Integración y Empoderamiento Comunitario
Estas iniciativas fortalecen la cohesión social y la comprensión cultural, abordando la grave falta de espacios para socializar y recibir apoyo, lo cual impacta negativamente a la sociedad. Nos enfocamos en empoderar tanto a las personas mayores como a los jóvenes, especialmente aquellos de origen hispanohablante, ayudándoles a alcanzar su máximo potencial a través de encuentros culturales y programas educativos.
Como parte de este esfuerzo, estamos promoviendo una nueva iniciativa dirigida a jóvenes que desean ingresar a la universidad. Este programa ofrece orientación, información y motivación, ayudándoles a entender los requisitos de ingreso, reconocer sus títulos internacionales y construir un mejor futuro a través de la educación.
2. Monthly Gathering for Elderly Individuals
Held on the last Saturday of every month, this gathering provides a safe and welcoming environment where seniors can connect, share experiences, and overcome the cultural and language barriers they often face. It helps to alleviate loneliness and fosters a sense of belonging for all participants, regardless of their background.
🇪🇸 Encuentro Mensual para Personas Mayores
Realizado el último sábado de cada mes, este encuentro ofrece un espacio seguro y acogedor donde las personas mayores pueden conectarse, compartir experiencias y superar las barreras culturales y lingüísticas que suelen enfrentar. Contribuye a reducir la soledad y fomenta un sentido de pertenencia para todos los participantes, sin importar su origen.
3. Spanish language Exchange
Join us every Monday from 5 to 6 PM at the café area of Middlesbrough Sports Village for our friendly and inclusive Language Exchange. Whether you're learning English, or Spanish, or simply want to meet new people from different backgrounds, this is the perfect space to practise, connect, and share cultures in a relaxed environment. Everyone is welcome – beginners, fluent speakers, and everything in between!

Latinos Teesside is a social organisation dedicated to supporting and empowering the Latino community in Middlesbrough. Through our various programs and initiatives, we strive to promote cultural awareness, provide resources and services, and create a sense of community for Latinos in the area. We also collaborate with local organizations to advocate for the needs and rights of our community.
